The Piquette T-Plex Museum is proud to present a close-up look at automotive fine art, renderings, and photographs of all marques, along with the historic fashions that accompanied the autos, in Fashion and The Automobile: An Exhibit in 10 Eras.
Presented by guest curator Victoria Mobley of Harrison Township, Fashion and The Automobile highlights the many changes wrought on popular culture by the evolution of the car. The Lynn Anderson Collection presents fashions and accessories spanning 100 years, while noted automotive artisans exhibit their work. Artists’ work will be available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the T-Plex Museum.
As you take a drive down memory lane, you will see the relationship between fashion design and automobile design, and how both were influenced by function, environment, lifestyle, and world events. As you travel, pay attention to the ‘U-Turns’ each decade takes, as what’s old becomes new again in Fashion and The Automobile: An Exhibit in 10 Eras.
This special exhibit is open now through Sunday, October 2, 2011, and is free with regular $10 museum admission/donation.
